What is Paintless Dent Removal?

PDR is short for Paintless Dent Removal – the fine art of removing dents, dings, creases, hail damage and even larger dents from a vehicle without the need for repainting or refinishing. PDR is a faster, more cost efficient way than conventional body work. As a result, you don’t need to worry about paint matching or long periods of time without your vehicle.

What is involved in the process of Paintless Dent Removal Process?

Paintless Dent Removal works with the memory of your vehicle’s metal or aluminum. Using specialized hand tools, The Dent Guy meticulously manipulates the dent to permanently remove the damage. This restores the panel to its original shape. Paintless Dent Removal doesn’t harm the original paint because today’s polyurethane paints and thinner gauge metals are very flexible.

Paintless Dent Removal works from behind the damage so there’s no sanding, painting, or body fillers involved.

What type of damage can and cannot be repaired?

Typically, The Dent Guy can repair most dings and dents. However, some dings and dents are challenging for which can only be repaired to a certain degree or percentage of the vehicle‘s original design. Again, Paintless Dent Repair/removal is most effective and visually appeasing method. In many cases, severe damage can be repaired to about 75%-100%.

What type of damage is typically fixed by The Dent Guy?

In general the SHARPER or larger the damage is the harder it is to fix by the Paintless Dent Removal method. Also smaller dings can be hard to repair as well due to its sharpness and/or accessibility. In other words, The Dent Guy must be able to access the damage with our specialized tools in order to remove the damage through Paintless Dent Removal.

How long does it take to do a repair?

The Dent Guy can fix most vehicles in about an hour. Vehicles with severe, larger dents and/or multiple panels; The Dent Guy will require more time to achieve accuracy. Hail damage vehicles require at least 5-8 hours in order to complete the repair job; The Dent Guy recommends to schedule a longer span of time without your vehicle. Remember, The Dent Guy is a mobile service, we come to you. Most appointments can be scheduled while you are home, at the office, or on vacation.

What is the typical cost of having a dent removed?

It all depends on the size and on the location of the damage.

For example: A quarter size dent usually is around $100 dollars. Paintless Dent Removal is cost efficient compared to conventional body repair techniques as well as you will not be burden with rental cars or being without a vehicle. The Dent Guy offers discounts to assist you with repairs especially if the vehicle has multiple panels or dents. Some vehicle repairs require a small fee for additional labor cost which may include removal and reinstallation of exterior lights, panels or headliners. How much time do I need to schedule a service call?

Most calls or inquires will be answered within 1-2 business days. The Dent Guy is a family owned business we do our best to provide to respond in a timely manner. Please understand some months have higher volume than others. In addition, scheduling may reflect and depend upon the location of our service area for that day or week.

Does The Dent Guy offer other services besides Paintless Dent Removal?
